HOPE FOR WILDLIFE SOCIETY

The Hope for Wildlife Society, located at 5909 Hwy 207, Seaforth, Nova Scotia, was founded in 1997. Its mission is to connect people to wildlife in a positive way, through knowledge and understanding. The Hope for Wildlife Society believes that education through rehabilitation is key to a sustainable future.

Specializing in the care, treatment and rehabilitation of injured or orphaned native, fur-bearing mammals, sea birds and songbirds, the facility has treated and released thousands of mammals and birds representing over 200 various species.

In addition to the treatment of indigenous wildlife, they have also treated non-indigenous species that have been confiscated by the authorities or bought as pets and later abandoned.

The facility is fully licensed and inspected, with a federal license for the rehabilitation of sea birds and a provincial license for the rehabilitation of indigenous wildlife.
