MY PEDIGREE
We are pleased to announce
that our shelter has once again been chosen as a 2010 Pedigree Adoption Drive™ Campaign Partner Shelter. This is a year-long
program to raise funds and awareness about shelter dogs across the country. Once again, Pedigree has enlisted the support
of four-time World Figure Skating Champion, and self-proclaimed dog lover, Kurt Browning to help spread awareness about the
plight of shelter dogs and encourage all Canadians to consider making a difference in the life of these special dogs.

To
help the thousands of dogs admitted to shelters each year, the makers of Pedigree® has kicked-off the third
annual PEDIGREE ADOPTION DRIVE ® to highlight the realities facing shelter dogs,
raise funds to assist dogs living in shelters and celebrate those four-legged heroes who have found loving homes!
The PEDIGREE
ADOPTION DRIVE ® team was in Halifax at Victoria Park, on Saturday, June 5, 2010, as part of a cross-country tour
in support of the Pedigree Adoption Drive™ and local shelter partners.
A recent survey commissioned by Pedigree® and conducted by Harris/Decima showed 24 per cent of Atlantic
Canadians surveyed adopted their current dog from a shelter, the highest of any region in Canada
and higher than the national average at 17 per cent.
Way to go Atlantic Canada... let's strive to make this percentage even higher. Visit you local shelter and make adoption
the only option.
