• For you to adopt an animal, you need to be sure you are financially
able to provide for the animal's needs. This includes food, supplies, (dog) license, veterinary care and an annual check up
and booster shots. • Be certain you have adequate time to spend with your new pet, including training, exercise
and grooming. Have your landlord's consent to bring an animal onto his/her property. Have the consent of all the adults in
your household. • Be at least 18 years of age and have proper identification. • Complete an adoption application form and discuss the application with a volunteer adoption counselor or SPCA staff member.
Understand that this is
an adoption process, not a sale. The SPCA reserves the right to postpone or refuse an adoption. We'll check with you to see
how you and your new pet are doing. Feel free to call us with any problems.
Send us a picture! We love to see
our animals enjoy their second chance in their fur-ever homes.
